Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the UK Content Creator Awards, including applications, nominations, voting, promotional activities, website use, sponsorships, ticket purchases and attendance at UK Content Creator Awards events.
By applying, submitting or accepting a nomination, submitting content, voting, purchasing a ticket, attending an event, entering a promotion or otherwise participating in UK Content Creator Awards activities, you agree to the relevant provisions of these Terms.
1. About the UK Content Creator Awards
1.1 UK Content Creator Awards recognises creativity, achievement, innovation, influence and impact across digital media and the creator economy.
1.2 The awards may recognise creators, influencers, streamers, podcasters, educators, entertainers, digital personalities, creator-led businesses, digital brands and other eligible participants across a range of categories.
1.3 Categories may include platform-specific, industry-specific, content-specific and overall achievement awards.
1.4 Categories, application periods, voting periods, event arrangements and other awards-cycle information may change from one edition of the awards to another and will be published separately.
2. Eligibility and age requirements
2.1 Applicants and nominees must be at least 18 years old unless a particular initiative expressly states otherwise.
2.2 Anyone submitting an application or nomination must be at least 18 years old.
2.3 Voting, ticket purchases, sponsorship agreements and other activities may also be subject to age or eligibility requirements stated at the relevant point of participation.
2.4 Applicants must meet any category-specific eligibility criteria published by UK Content Creator Awards.
2.5 By providing information to us, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
2.6 We may request reasonable evidence of age, identity, creator status, platform ownership, audience presence or other eligibility information where necessary.
2.7 We may refuse or discontinue participation where eligibility cannot reasonably be established.
3. Applications and nominations
3.1 Creators may apply for themselves.
3.2 Fans, followers, supporters and other eligible people may nominate another creator where third-party nominations are available.
3.3 Creator-led brands or digital businesses may apply where a relevant category permits them to do so.
3.4 Submission of an application or nomination does not guarantee acceptance, finalist status, promotion, attendance or receipt of an award.
3.5 Multiple nominations for the same person do not give that nominee additional votes or increase their chances of winning.
3.6 Applicants may enter more than one category where they genuinely qualify. Separate applications may be required.
3.7 UK Content Creator Awards may move an application to another category where we reasonably believe that category more accurately reflects the creator or entry.
3.8 We may combine, rename, suspend or withdraw categories where reasonably necessary before voting begins.
3.9 Where a category is materially changed after applications have been submitted, we will take reasonable steps to ensure affected entries are handled appropriately.
4. Third-party nominations
4.1 Where you nominate somebody else, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
4.2 You do not gain ownership of another creator's material simply because you nominate them.
4.3 A third-party nomination does not, by itself, grant UK Content Creator Awards unrestricted rights to reproduce photographs, videos, artwork or other copyrighted material belonging to the nominee or another person.
4.4 You may provide links to publicly available creator profiles, channels or content for the purpose of identifying and assessing the nomination.
4.5 We may contact the nominated creator to:
(a) confirm their participation;
(b) verify information;
(c) obtain additional information;
(d) obtain suitable photographs or media;
(e) obtain permissions required for promotional use; and
(f) provide relevant privacy information.
4.6 We may decline to publish a nominee profile until appropriate confirmation or permissions have been obtained.
5. Application review and approval
5.1 Our team may review applications and nominations before they progress to public voting.
5.2 Review is intended to confirm matters such as:
(a) eligibility;
(b) category suitability;
(c) identity or creator status where necessary;
(d) completeness and accuracy of the application;
(e) compliance with these Terms; and
(f) suitability of public-facing material for the awards.
5.3 Approval into the voting stage does not constitute an endorsement by UK Content Creator Awards of every statement, view, product or piece of content associated with the nominee.
5.4 We may decline an application or nomination where it does not meet the applicable category or eligibility requirements.
6. Public-facing content standards
6.1 UK Content Creator Awards is intended to be presented as a professional, mainstream and brand-appropriate awards platform.
6.2 Content submitted specifically for publication through UK Content Creator Awards should therefore be suitable for a general professional audience.
6.3 We may decline to publish material containing:
(a) unlawful content;
(b) explicit sexual imagery or pornography;
(c) graphic violence;
(d) hateful or threatening content;
(e) defamatory material;
(f) another person's private information without appropriate justification;
(g) material that infringes copyright, trademark or other rights;
(h) deliberately misleading impersonation or misrepresentation; or
(i) material otherwise unsuitable for the public-facing awards platform.
6.4 A creator's lawful work on a particular platform does not automatically make them ineligible. However, material reproduced directly through the UK Content Creator Awards website and official promotional channels must meet our public-facing content standards.
6.5 We may use a creator's name, stage name, public profile links and suitable promotional imagery without reproducing content from every platform on which that creator operates.
7. Submitted Content
7.1 Photographs, videos, audio, logos, graphics, biographies, written material and other media voluntarily supplied to us by or with the authority of the relevant rights holder are referred to as “Submitted Content”.
7.2 You retain ownership of any intellectual-property rights you already own in Submitted Content.
7.3 Where you submit your own or authorised Submitted Content, you grant UK Content Creator Awards a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, communicate and reasonably adapt that content for purposes connected with the awards.
7.4 These purposes may include:
(a) nominee profiles;
(b) finalist profiles;
(c) voting pages;
(d) voting graphics and campaigns;
(e) websites;
(f) social media;
(g) email and digital promotion;
(h) press and public relations;
(i) finalist and winner announcements;
(j) event screens and displays;
(k) promotional videos;
(l) future UK Content Creator Awards promotion;
(m) reporting and coverage of the awards; and
(n) legitimate historical and archive material relating to previous awards.
7.5 The licence includes permission to make reasonable technical and creative adaptations to Submitted Content.
7.6 These adaptations may include cropping, resizing, compression, sharpening, upscaling, resolution enhancement, colour correction, exposure correction, retouching, background removal or replacement, graphic overlays, typography, branded layouts and composites.
7.7 These permissions do not transfer ownership of the original Submitted Content to UK Content Creator Awards.
8. AI-assisted editing and digital production
8.1 UK Content Creator Awards may use conventional editing software, automated technology and artificial-intelligence-assisted tools as part of its creative and production processes.
8.2 Where you voluntarily provide photographs or other authorised content for use by the awards, you authorise UK Content Creator Awards and service providers acting on our behalf to process that material using such tools for the purposes described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
8.3 AI-assisted processing may include:
(a) image enhancement;
(b) sharpening or upscaling;
(c) resolution improvement;
(d) colour and lighting correction;
(e) background isolation;
(f) background removal or replacement;
(g) preparation of nominee and voting artwork;
(h) adapting content to different dimensions or formats; and
(i) other reasonable creative or production assistance.
8.4 Our intention when editing an identifiable person's photograph is to create professional promotional material and not to deliberately misrepresent that person's identity.
8.5 Where we intend to create materially altered or synthetic content depicting a person as doing or appearing in a substantially different way from the original material, additional permission may be sought where appropriate.
8.6 Use of an AI-assisted tool does not transfer ownership of the original photograph to UK Content Creator Awards.
8.7 If a creator does not want photographs they have directly supplied to us edited using AI-assisted tools, they should notify us as early as possible.
8.8 Where reasonably practicable, we may use the original image or conventional editing instead.
8.9 We are not necessarily required to create alternative artwork where a particular production method is declined. We may instead use the original material, another format or choose not to use that particular image.
8.10 Nothing in this section limits rights available under applicable data-protection law.
9. Rights in Submitted Content
9.1 You must only submit material that you are legally entitled to provide.
9.2 If a photographer, designer, production company, agency or another person owns copyright in material you submit, you are responsible for ensuring you have sufficient permission for the intended use.
9.3 You must not knowingly submit material that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality or other legal rights.
9.4 Where Submitted Content includes another identifiable person, you must have any permission reasonably required to provide that material.
9.5 If we receive a credible rights complaint, we may temporarily remove relevant material while the issue is investigated.
10. Public voting
10.1 Competitive UK Content Creator Awards winners are determined by public voting.
10.2 Voting takes place during the official voting period published for the relevant awards cycle.
10.3 Approved nominees may receive an individual voting page or voting link.
10.4 Voting limits and technical requirements will be published when voting opens.
10.5 Depending on the applicable voting rules, limits may relate to voting frequency, accounts, email addresses, devices or other reasonable measures designed to protect voting integrity.
10.6 The following are prohibited:
(a) automated voting;
(b) bots or voting scripts;
(c) fraudulent accounts;
(d) deliberately creating duplicate identities to circumvent voting restrictions;
(e) temporary or disposable email services where used to circumvent restrictions;
(f) purchasing fraudulent or automated votes;
(g) technical manipulation of the voting platform;
(h) coordinated attempts to bypass published voting restrictions; and
(i) any other deliberate attempt to artificially alter a nominee's vote total contrary to the voting rules.
10.7 We may use technical systems and manual review to identify suspicious voting activity.
10.8 We may invalidate votes where we have reasonable grounds to believe they were fraudulent, automated or manipulated.
10.9 Removing invalid votes is intended to preserve the genuine public-vote result and does not convert the awards into a judged competition.
11. Winners and results
11.1 All competitive UK Content Creator Awards winners are determined solely by valid public votes.
11.2 UK Content Creator Awards may decide whether an application is eligible and whether a nomination may enter the public vote, but we do not internally substitute our preference for the public vote when selecting a competitive winner.
11.3 The nominee receiving the highest number of valid votes within their category when voting closes will be declared the winner, subject to verification of the result.
11.4 Only valid votes count towards the final result.
11.5 Voting may be reviewed before a winner is officially confirmed.
11.6 In the event of an administrative, technical or calculation error, the result may be corrected using verified voting information.
11.7 If two or more nominees receive exactly the same number of valid votes, an additional public vote may be held between the tied nominees.
11.8 UK Content Creator Awards will not internally select a competitive winner solely to break a tied public vote.
11.9 Once a result has been verified and officially confirmed, it will be treated as final except where a material technical error or proven voting fraud subsequently requires correction.
12. Nominee conduct and removal
12.1 UK Content Creator Awards may reject, suspend or remove a nomination where:
(a) eligibility requirements are not met;
(b) materially false information has been deliberately supplied;
(c) there has been deliberate voting manipulation;
(d) Submitted Content infringes another person's rights;
(e) there has been serious fraud or unlawful conduct directly connected with participation in the awards;
(f) there has been serious harassment, threats or abuse directed at awards staff, participants or attendees;
(g) there has been a material breach of these Terms; or
(h) continued participation would create a genuine legal or safety risk.
12.2 A nominee will not automatically be disqualified merely because a third party attempts to manipulate voting on their behalf.
12.3 Where voting abuse occurs, we may consider whether there is reasonable evidence that the nominee knowingly participated in, organised or encouraged the prohibited activity.
12.4 Making a complaint, disagreeing with UK Content Creator Awards or expressing criticism in good faith is not, by itself, grounds for removal.
13. Attendance and awards events
13.1 Attendance at an awards event is not required in order to win unless a particular non-standard category expressly states otherwise.
13.2 Winners who cannot attend may be contacted following the event regarding any trophy, certificate or other applicable award arrangements.
13.3 Event-specific information, including dates, venues, ticket prices, schedules and access arrangements, will be published separately.
14. Tickets and payments
14.1 Tickets may be sold directly by UK Content Creator Awards or through authorised ticketing partners.
14.2 Ticket prices, booking fees, restrictions and event information will be shown before purchase.
14.3 Payment-card processing may be handled by independent payment providers.
14.4 Refunds, cancellations, transfers and rescheduling will be handled in accordance with the applicable ticket conditions and mandatory consumer law.
14.5 If an event is cancelled or materially rescheduled, any remedy required by applicable law will be provided.
14.6 Unless expressly stated, nomination or finalist status does not automatically include travel, accommodation, guest tickets or other expenses.
15. Event photography, filming and media
15.1 UK Content Creator Awards events may be professionally photographed, filmed and recorded.
15.2 Coverage may include red-carpet arrivals, interviews, stage presentations, performances, award presentations, crowd footage and general event coverage.
15.3 Images and recordings may be used for:
(a) event reporting;
(b) websites;
(c) social media;
(d) press and publicity;
(e) future event promotion;
(f) promotional videos;
(g) sponsor and partner coverage where appropriate; and
(h) legitimate historical archives.
15.4 Appropriate notices may be used to inform attendees that photography and filming are taking place.

16. Sponsors and commercial partners
16.1 UK Content Creator Awards may work with sponsors, category partners, platform partners, media partners and other commercial organisations.
16.2 Sponsorship and partnership arrangements may be subject to separate written agreements.
16.3 Sponsorship of a category does not give the sponsor the right to select the public-vote winner unless an entirely separate non-competitive initiative expressly states otherwise.
16.4 Sponsors may receive agreed brand exposure and commercial benefits but do not automatically obtain nominee personal information for unrelated marketing.
17. Prizes and opportunities
17.1 Some categories, promotions or awards may include prizes or opportunities supplied by UK Content Creator Awards or third parties.
17.2 Third-party prizes may be subject to separate eligibility, redemption, availability, travel or fulfilment conditions.
17.3 Where an independent provider is responsible for delivering a prize, UK Content Creator Awards may assist with reasonable enquiries but cannot guarantee the independent provider's performance.
17.4 No cash alternative is available unless expressly stated.

18.2 Nominees may normally share official nomination and voting artwork created for them for the purpose of promoting their nomination.
18.3 Participation does not authorise anyone to represent themselves as an employee, agent or official representative of UK Content Creator Awards unless expressly authorised.
19. Third-party platforms and services
19.1 UK Content Creator Awards may reference or link to third-party platforms including social networks, streaming services, podcast platforms, subscription services and creator websites.
19.2 Those platforms are independent from UK Content Creator Awards unless expressly stated otherwise.
19.3 References to platform names or links do not imply endorsement or sponsorship by those platforms.
19.4 Third-party platforms have their own terms, availability and privacy policies.

20.4 Where appropriate, we may update biography information, links or promotional imagery.
20.5 Removal from active promotional channels does not necessarily mean that every previous copy can be recovered.
20.6 Material may already have been downloaded, reposted by third parties, printed, distributed, incorporated into recordings or legitimately retained within historical awards coverage.
20.7 Requests involving personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
21. Privacy and data protection
21.1 Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
21.2 Accepting these Terms does not automatically constitute consent to receive marketing communications.

22.1 Questions or complaints relating to UK Content Creator Awards may be sent to : [email protected]
22.2 We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to understand or investigate a complaint.
22.3 Making a complaint will not adversely affect a nomination merely because UK Content Creator Awards disagrees with the complaint.
22.4 We may close correspondence where a matter has reasonably been addressed and repeated communications raise no materially new issue.
22.5 Nothing in this section prevents anyone from exercising a legal right or contacting an appropriate regulator, authority or court.
23. Liability
23.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
23.2 Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights.
23.3 UK Content Creator Awards does not accept responsibility for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that result entirely from circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
23.4 We are not responsible for independent third-party websites, platforms, products, prizes or services except to the extent required by law.
23.5 We do not guarantee that participation will result in increased followers, views, subscriptions, sponsorship, income, commercial opportunities or other benefits.
24. Changes to these Terms
24.1 We may update these Terms where our services, awards structure, technology or legal obligations change.
24.2 The current version will be published on the UK Content Creator Awards website.
24.3 Material changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under applicable law.
